Today is the birthday of david lynch (1946), and i thought we should celebrate with a quotefest from his movies. here's a couple to get it started:
you're not going down to lincoln, are you jeffrey?
no, i'm not going down to lincoln.
[then of course he goes down to lincoln.]
hey, frank, you want me to open this beer?
no, i want you to fuck it!
xxxxx
it's henry, isn't it. girl named mary called on the pay phone. said she's at her parents and you're invited for dinner.
oh yeah.................thank you very much.
the girls have heard this story before, but, fifteen years ago i had an operation on my arm. doctors said i'd never be able to use it again; well, what the hell do they know i said, so, i rubbed it for half an hour every day, and pretty soon i got so i could use it again, got so i could turn a faucet, pretty soon i had my arm back again. now i can't feel a damn thing in it. all numb. mary usually does the carving, but tonight, maybe you'll do it henry, all right with you?
